What an exciting year we have in the fourth grade. As Fourth graders, we are finally the “Big Buddies” to the PreK class. We enjoy spending time together each week helping our little buddies with projects throughout the school year.

     We begin a year long study of the state of Alabama. We discover the early exploration of our state and learn all about many Famous Alabamians. As a culmination of our study of Alabama History, we will spend two days in our capital city, Montgomery.

           We will be reading many novels throughout the school year along with improving our vocabulary and comprehension skills. As part of our English curriculum, we use the Shurley Method, which helps us master our English skills and is a great tool to use in our writing assignments.
