Fifth Grade Class: Fifth grade is an exciting year of growth and discovery. We begin our year in history with a geological dig which introduces our study of ancient civilizations. We'll discover early explorers, the formation of the thirteen colonies, and their struggles to create a new nation. In science the children are introduced to chemistry and biology. They also perform their first dissections of worms and frogs. We'll become better readers and writers through our study of English and Composition. It truly is the way school is supposed to be.
